Soccer Analyst Sutton Battles Singer Murs in Premier League Forecasts
The Gunners' ten-match winning run was ended by Sunderland before the international break, however will the Premier League frontrunners recover against local foes Spurs this weekend?
"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.
"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."
Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, readers and a variety of guests.
In week 12, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United fan.
The singer's latest album, the new release, is available on the weekend.
Soccer and Family Life
Murs is a skilled footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of several charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a footballer.
"{I actually played in a charity match the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "The side was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!
"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."
The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.
"I will not push football on our children but I've previously told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be managing their weekend football side," he said.
"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.
"My father did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our side for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
Chelsea may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.
In my opinion this fixture will be fairly close, however. Burnley are well organised and their only home defeats so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.
It smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
The expert's prediction: 1-2
Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
AI's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.
In contrast, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at home, they appear strong again.
West Ham's only away win this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno was still Forest manager.
Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - can the Hammers continuing their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth bouncing back?
I will go with Bournemouth, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip.
Sutton's prediction: 2-0
Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have picked up under Nuno. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Brentford were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the season began, but they have surprised a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four games.
A family member advised me to select Bees striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.
The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or support the away side at Amex Stadium.
The Bees have not had great success on the travel this season, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. The visitors will try to hit them on the break but I think the home manager's team carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
Olly's view: This could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a many scores but it actually proves to be rather tight. 1-1
The computer's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.
They have got plenty of quality in their squad but it still seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.
As for Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.
The away side's display in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was superb. We have not witnessed any other team rough up the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The logical choice would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the end of last month.
But I am not do that. Rather, I really need to carry on going against Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of credit for their positive results because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.
Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage record, the only team they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will pick up three much-needed points.
The expert's prediction: 1-0
The guest's choice: I know the visitors are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor streak... but they have nonetheless been respectable at home this season. 2-0
AI's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a tough fixture to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
